Amateur!!!

I have to wonder who falls for these scams. The themes are tired and lack imagination. At this point I'm pretty sure I've got money tied up in some foreign bank or Airport Custom's Office all over the world. For the love of broccoli, if someone would just come up with something original I'd probably send them them money just to acknowledge the effort. Then it hit me... someone has come up with a more convincing scam. We call them Policiticians

Like most Americans I've been watching the Pre/Post election process with a varying degrees of indignation, horror, disgust and at times, hysterical laughter and embarrassment. Regardless of Political affiliation, some of you might see some similarities here.

My Reply:

Dear Alpasian Cakar,

You sir are an Amateur. You send requests for my personal information and demand inconsequential "fees" or "fines". Either way, while you sit in your evil lair (AKA cryber crime call-center/sweat shop), scheming to make hundreds of dollars, we have people here in my country who put you to shame. These people (called Politicians) hatch plans to make millions and not only do they do so openly, they convince us to help them. While you're offering me a mere 7.2 million dollars, these people offered trillions of dollars to a polarized county, suffering the fallout from the 2020 version of the plague. They got everyone all excited about this money (called a stimulus package) and then they called a halt to the entire thing. Now you'd think the American people would be all sorts of pissed off, but unlike you, these people are professionals (the best that money can buy). They simply pointed their fingers and blamed the other party for delaying much needed aid to the good people and cash-drained businesses of our nation. Each side claimed the other was unwilling to cooperate and the only way to ensure financial aid would reach the appropriate people be to hold off on everything and focus on an "appropriate outcome" in the upcoming election. So basically, even though both sides agreed that people were suffering, children were going hungry, and families losing their homes and businesses, the ONLY WAY to get this money would entail focusing on rehiring these politicians for another 2 to 4 years.

You know, I for one was really angry at first until I heard several of those politicians assuring us they knew the needs of the people and were doing what we all wanted. Oh, by the way, they also kinda-sorta got all of us riled up at each other until people took to the streets. It got so bad, some people were protesting the way other people protested and then someone started a fire that ran from one side of the country to the other. Luckily, they mostly burned down small businesses, using the "going out of business sale" signs as fuel. WOW! So, people closed their businesses, burned through their savings, held off from eating to have more for their kids and basically gutted it out while our politicians were out working hard at campaigning. And by campaigning, I mean name calling, shouting accusations of treason, and cheating, while slapping each other on the back and dining with lobbyists holding bags of money.

So here we are, weeks after the election, no stimulus package, businesses never to be reopened, proud men and women asking for help to feed their children while our politicians are still asking for money. One side needs it to prove the other stole the election from the people. The other side needs it to defend the people from the selfish motives of the first side. Still no time to sit down and do something for the citizens who put them in office, but plenty of time to cash donation checks, meet with the press, and of course more lobbyists.

So, yes, as I said, you sir, are an amateur. You should watch CNN/Fox/CSPAN and learn how it's really done.

Regards,

Just one of many
